Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on the 9th of February 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. She was adopted at the age of three by her grandmother, who lived in slums. The adoptive parents are American white man with a military background as well as her mother who is Filipino. The woman claims her adoptive brother and she were abused from when she was a child up until the time she enlisted. She and her family moved to Texas when she was thirteen because her father was undergoing bypass surgery. They spent a few months there in San Francisco with her aunt. She says the physical violence stopped after a few months, but that she continued to endure psychological abuse by her father. At the age of 18, she enlisted in her first service in the United States Navy. Poarch was the first to join TikTok in April 2020, rapidly gaining fame. The site grew to over 40 million followers within just 8 months. The biggest hit was the music video she created to promote MillieB's smash hit track Soph Aspin Send. It became one of TikTok's most watched videos. The video was zoomed-in on her dancing and lip-syncing along to the tune went viral. In order to capitalize on the popularity she gained following her joining TikTok in December 2016 Poarch launched her YouTube and Twitter profiles. The fame of Poarch peaked in December 2020. It was reported that she drew the attention of two major professional Esports organizations. FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves expressed an interest to hire her as an author of content under the respective brand names.
